James Blakey is the author of more than forty short stories across a variety of genres.

He is a three-time nominee for the Short Mystery Fiction Society’s Derringer Award winning in 2019 for his story ‘The Bicycle Thief.’

His debut novel SUPERSTITION, a paranormal thriller, will be published by City Owl Press in the fall of 2024.

James lives in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley and leads writers groups in Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, and Shenandoah County.
